Question 1

How does RateUs avoid getting reviews flagged by Google?

Accepted Answer

RateUs does NOT post bot or fake reviews. Every review is posted by your actual paying customer from their own personal Google account and mobile IP. Our AI generates variable phrasing, sentiment, and vocabulary adhering to Google's SpamBrain guidelines.

Question 2

Can I use RateUs if I don't use RetailIQ billing software?

Accepted Answer

Yes! While RateUs integrates natively with RetailIQ POS with zero setup, you can also use RateUs standalone with Tally, Busy, Vyapar, or any other software via simple CSV upload, Excel import, or REST API webhooks.

Question 3

How does the negative review protection work?

Accepted Answer

When a customer selects 1, 2, or 3 stars, they are never directed to Google Maps. Instead, RateUs opens a private grievance feedback form and immediately sends an alert to the store owner on WhatsApp, allowing you to resolve the dispute privately.

Question 4

What happens if a customer buys sensitive items like innerwear or medicine?

Accepted Answer

RateUs includes automated sensitive category detection. If an invoice contains items like lingerie, undergarments, personal hygiene, or pharmaceuticals, the review generator automatically masks the items and focuses only on staff courtesy and store cleanliness.

Question 5

Do my customers have to download an app?

Accepted Answer

Never! RateUs works completely inside any mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, or WhatsApp in-app browser). It loads in under 1 second with no logins or downloads required.

Question 6

How fast does setup take?

Accepted Answer

If you use RetailIQ, setup is instantaneous—just toggle 'RateUs Reviews' ON in your settings. For standalone users, our team sets up your account and WhatsApp templates in under 20 minutes.
